What is the difference between satin and silk?

Our satin linings are 100% polyester: synthetic, vegan and easy to care for. Our silk linings are 100% silk, a soft, hypoallergenic natural fibre. The outer fabric of our lined garments, excluding the lining, is 50% polyester and 50% cotton. The Guide explains the differences in detail.
